Tasting Spoons

Ever seen one of these before?  I hadn’t either until my sister Kathy asked me to make her a “tasting spoon”.  It’s quite functional.  You know when you want to taste something on the stove and it’s too hot and you have to blow on it until it cools, then you end up burning your lips?  With a tasting spoon, you dip it in, tilt it back to cool the contents in the channel built into the handle, then tilt it back into the end of the spoon for tasting.  No waiting. Pretty cool, eh?
