You know when you use a regular cooking spoon for mixing stiff cookie dough you have to “choke up” so much that it becomes unwieldy? Whom among us hasn’t had that problem?
My sister Kathy asked me to make her a short, shallow “paddle spoon” for this purpose. These guys are heavy duty, made from Birdseye Maple, about 10″ in length and no more than an inch deep.
